Itineraries
Day 1
Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your journey begins with an early morning departure from Entebbe, heading southwest towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The scenic drive takes you through Uganda’s rolling hills, lush countryside, and traditional homesteads. You will have a lunch stop in Mbarara before continuing through the beautiful Kigezi Highlands, known as the "Switzerland of Africa." Upon arrival in Bwindi, you will check in at a reserved lodge, where you can relax and prepare for the gorilla trekking experience the following day.

Day 2
Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience

After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority guides. Trekking through the dense forest in search of a habituated gorilla family is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, lasting between 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas' movements. Once you locate them, you will spend a magical hour observing and photographing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. After trekking, you will visit the Batwa community, the indigenous forest dwellers who will share their rich cultural heritage, storytelling, and traditional dances. Later, return to the lodge for relaxation and dinner.

Day 3
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through the scenic Ishasha sector, which is famous for its tree-climbing lions. Along the way, keep an eye out for various wildlife species, including elephants, buffalos, and antelopes. Upon arrival, check in at a safari lodge and enjoy a relaxed afternoon at the lodge or an optional evening game drive to spot some of the park’s incredible wildlife.

Day 4
Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise

The day starts with an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, a prime spot for viewing lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, and Uganda kobs. The golden hours of sunrise provide excellent photographic opportunities as animals are most active during this time. After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation.
In the afternoon, you will embark on a two-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This experience offers an up-close encounter with hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species, including African fish eagles, pelicans, and kingfishers. The boat cruise provides breathtaking views and is one of the highlights of Queen Elizabeth National Park. After the cruise, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5
Transfer Back to Entebbe Airport

After breakfast, you will embark on a drive back to Entebbe, enjoying the last scenic views of Uganda’s countryside. Arrive in Entebbe in time for your departure flight, marking the end of your incredible 5-day Uganda adventure.
